In March 2025, Doowii partnered with Western Governors University (WGU) to launch a pilot program aimed at helping WGU Program Mentors access and leverage data for student support. The initiative explored how AI-driven data tools can enhance the student experience by making complex data intuitive, actionable, and directly relevant to mentors’ work.

The results were compelling. Mentors found Doowii intuitive, time-saving, and valuable for decision-making. Without any technical training, they could ask questions in natural language and receive clear, visual, and transparent insights. This accessibility allowed mentors to uncover new patterns, personalize student outreach, and make data-informed decisions more quickly and confidently.

"Mentors who are not data analysts were able to ask complex questions and get understandable answers. The combination of natural language querying, visualizations, and plain-text explanations proved powerful, lowering the barrier to entry for data-informed decision making. One mentor without an analytics background could still retrieve and interpret multi-variable student data with ease. "

In summary, the pilot highlights a key takeaway: thoughtfully designed AI tools can make data accessible and actionable for educators, advancing the goal of data democratization in education.
